years in the saddle Richards made a perfectly timed effort a f urlong and onehalf out and Pinza strode away to win by four lengths from Queen Elizabeths colt Aureole to gain the only major prize of British racing which he had not already won wonThe The huge crowd basking in the warm sunshine on the historic downs gave Rich ¬ ards thunderous congratulations on victory even though everyone had been hoping to see Aureole win and give the Queen a tri ¬ umphant end to her Coronation week weekPinza Pinza started as a 5tol joint favorite with Premonition who like Aureole is trained by Captain
