Colin Knisley on Pair Of River Downs Winners WinnersBoots Boots Home Sweep Tiger in Third After Miss Stars Earlier Score ScoreBy By B E HURLEY HURLEYStaff Staff Correspondent CorrespondentRIVER RIVER DOWNS California Ohio June 6 Another local rider Colin Knisley from nearby Hamilton Ohio was the riding star of the early races at River Downs today as a crowd of 11668 racing fans turned out under cloudy skies that held the threat of rain in them for the first two races but cleared in time for the third event eventKnisley Knisley rode his second winner of the afternoon in this sixfurlong event as he guided Mr and Mrs W Lapes Sweep Tiger to her second success of the season Knisley rides this mare to perfection for she has bolted dangerously at the head of the home lane on frequent occasions but hugs the rail faithfully for the Hamilton Tider Knis ¬ ley had Sweep Tiger one length clear of the field at the finish and she paid 1240 while touring the six furlongs in 113 113Colin Colin had started the proceedings for the day with a short nose win aboard I J Collins maiden Miss Star who closed as favorite with the crowd and paid 680 for her perilous triumph triumphBilly Billy Collins took over in the second race with another favorite maiden as Melmars U N returned 420 for his length and a quarter victory and completed a short 1360 double There was a refund in the double pool when L D Moores Tuame got the long distance fever and galloped off after unseating jockey J Sanchez during the post parade
