Arizona Tracks Agree to Pay Ten Per Cent Breeders Awards AwardsTURF TURF PARADISE Phoenix Ariz May g Walter R Cluer president of Turf Paradise and James Herbuveaux presi ¬ dent of Arizona Downs met with Les Mad ¬ ison Ralph Feffer and Dr H E Donovan all officials of the newly formed Arizona Horse Race Breeders Association Outcome of the meeting was an agreement that the tracks pay a 10 per cent breders award out of thier own funds Previously the award was five per cent and it was de ¬ duced from the winners share of the purse purseThe The meeting brought a roundtable dis ¬ cussion of several other matters designed for the betterment of Arizona racing in ¬ cluding greater opportunities for Arizona bred horses and facilities for earlier train ¬ ing of twoyearolds Plans were set up for later meetings
