Cornell Inspects Stock Before Preakness Trip TripExpects Expects Improved Try by Silky Belmont Stakes Plans Undecided By OSCAR OTIS OTISHOLLYWOOD HOLLYWOOD PARK Inglewood Calif May 8 Reggie Cornell trainer of Silky Sullivan was on the Hollywood Park back stretch bright and early this morning plan ¬ ning to fly to Golden Gate Fields at noon to check his stock racing there and will enplane from San Francisco tonight for Baltimore where he intends to remain un ¬ til after Silky Sullivan runs in the Preak ¬ ness nessThe The morning after the Derby Silky was playing and kicking and wanted to knock the stall down said Cornell which led us to believe that the Derby wasnt his race at all Mind you I didnt say he would have won it but just that Silky can do much better than he showed at Churchill Downs Anyway the Preakness was worth a sporting try so there we are Our veteri ¬ narian in attendance all during the Ken ¬ tucky Derby period Dr Jock Jocoy will remain with our stable at least until after the Preakness running After that events will pretty much decide for us whether or not to stay on East for the Belmont or re ¬ turn to California
