Won easily; second driving, Irene Lindsey ran to her eastern form. She moved up fast when entering the last eighth and easily passed into the lead. LEtrenne finished strongly under u vigorous ride and just got up in time to nip Orla on the post. The latter showed much speed, but tired in the closing strides. Moabina showed improvement and is ready to win when placed right. Okla was all nntanglod at the start, but made up ground fast when she got clear sailing and was well up when turning for home, but the effort to make up the lost ground exhausted her. Linguist was at his best, displayed keen epeed throughout and had the field well beaten when turning for home. Flocarline moved up fast in the last eighth and finished resolutely. Topsoil showed speed for the first quarter and then began to fall back in the next half, but in the last sixteenth closed up ground fast and was wearing down Flocarline at the finish. Barca ran a dull race and was thoroughly beaten in the last sixteenth. Watkins Overton was cut off badly at the first turn and all down the backstretch. Dagmar was not called on until just before taking the last jump, where he moved up fast and fairly ran away from the field in the run down the stretch. Falella finished strongly, easily outstaying Old Fox in the last eighth. The latter appeared to have a good chance when taking the last jump, but tired fast when the pinch came. Rose Tree laid with Jiminez for the first quarter, where the latter assumed command and held it until aftsr passing beyond the half mile post, where Winslett called on Rose Tree and she moved up fast on even terms with Jiminez. Toah is in good shape at present and undoubtedly about the best sprinter in the west. He was not called on until entering the last quarter, where he went to the front in a stride and won as his rider pleased. Burnie Bunton finished resolutely and was much the best of the others. Waswift ran a good race, moving up fast in the last sixteenth. He was just a shade high in flesh. Nellie Waddell was thoroughly beaten when entering the last eighth. Nitrate finished itrongly. Pink Coat tired when the pinch came. Hermnncia ran a eomowhut dull race and was never a serious contender. Ban Mot ran far below expectations and has probably trained off. Edith Q. appeared to have a chance when entering the last quarter, but tired fast when the pinch came. The Caxton showed speed, but fell away well beaten in the run in from the last eighth post. Rollick II. foil to her knees in the last seventy -five yards and was lucky not to go down. She was well beaten at the time. Scratched 35000 Captain Gaines, 105; 4940 Do Made,97.
