Sanguine broke slowly on the inside and was gradually forced back, finally was pocketed and pulling up frequently and sharply behind a solid wall of horses until in the strolch, where he dashed through and made good with amazing ease. Youthful outbroke and outpaced the others to the last sixteeilh and was a lucky second. Fresh ran prominently throughout, gamely saving third place and will improve. Tommy Abeam got away badly and was seemingly outpaced in the early running, but closed an immense gap in the last half and was a fast going fourth. Sweet-taire broke poorly, but got into forward contention quickly and finished close up, but tiring. Ansonla dropped out in the last quarter after a wide stretch turn. Amanda II. practically set the pace throughout under the most skillful ride and won going away after a game closing struggle on the Mat. Blue Pigeon was reserved within striking distance for a mile and a half, loomed up menacingly on the last turn and momentarily appeared the winner, but tired unexpectedly at tlie end. Dr. Keith kept well up throughout and tmished a fast going third in an extra good race. Tiie Doctor retired early. Judge OGin was a prominent contender and raced for a mile and a half with the leader, but tired linaily and finished eased up. Wabash Iinished well after being badly outrun. Sister Frances broke slowly on the inside and was pocketed early, went around on the outside with a rush, but never seriously menaced the winner. Gambrinus was hi close pursuit of the pacemaker o the stretch, where he dropped back into a safe third. Poquossing got away slowly, but improved his position steadily into a fast going fourth. Koyal Vane was in close and leisurely pursuit of the pacemaker until straightened for home, where be drew out and won going away fast. 1511a ONeill, from a Hying start, made the running undisturbed until in the last sixteenth, where she readily gave way to the favorite, but showed sudden improvement. Masks ami Faces got away very badly, then closed a big gap in a twinkling and tired linaily. Woodbine kept dropping back in the early running ami came again in the stretch into a fast going fourth. Siuitkcr showed moderate speed, held on well and Iinished easing up. Walter Miller was hopelessly outpaced from the start and finally bealen olf. The winner was entered for .,500; no bid. Orbicular, luckily placed from the start, drew out rapidly on the last turn and made good linaily and impressively. Yankee Girl trailed for half the journey, then closed up on the turn witli lightning rapidity, but failed to get up in the stretch sprint in a grand performance. Far West, away poorly, was pocketed and pulled up so sharply on the lirst turn that he nearly fell, then loomed up menacingly on the last turn, but tired in the closing drive. Rye, away in the lead, tried to hold it, but could not do it, was linaily hemmed in and shulllcd back to last, could never get up after that, but Iinished like a cyclone. Cairn gorm nearly nulled Ids jockey out of the saddle in the hitters elTort to place him in behind the early pacemaker and finally was compelled to go to the front, but was badly messed a Unit and really had no chance with Ills ride. Dolly Spanker also moved up prematurely and succumbed at the end. Littleton Maid, away flat footed and knocked out of the race by a collision with Tenez, gradually worked through the big field, got up linaily after a terrific closing drive and evidently is a crackerjack. Howard Sliean, away in the lead, was reserved hard held close in behind the pacemaker to the stretch, whore he swerved into defeat after lieing seemingly a certain winner. Haensel made the running for seven furlongs before he succumbed and finished a game third. Easton got away slowly, but quickly .improvd his position ami was well placed for the first six furlongs, but failed to get up for third place. Sailor Girl made iu ground steadily from an indifferent start. Jobstown, nearly left, closed a gap and Iinished like a cyclone. Cederstrome got away iioorlv, but took v quick forward positron and, after going the lirst half, singled out of the ruck the only serious contender, was a game second, but never menaced the leader. Mluiota, poorly ridden and messed about, got away badly and, after being held far in the rear, iinished a fast going third. Lord Lovat showed superior early speed, but gradually fell back after going a forward six furlongs. Zienap also dropped out after going a good six furlongs. Tony Bonero lacked contending speed at all stages. San Alvlso loomed up momentarily at the half und then retired.
