HILDRETH BUYS MONTGOMERY. New York, September 21. Eleven racehorses in training, the property of Emil Herz, F. Brown and others, were sold at auction today. Montgomery, the star of the sale, was bought by S. C. Hlldreth for 13.000. John Howard acted as his agent. Tho others brought low prices, as follows: Masaulello, W. A. McKinney. S50; Oliver Cromwell, by E. J. Ahearn, 50; Montgomery, by S. C. Hildreth, 13.000; Jane Swift, by R. F. Carman, 1,000; Woodlane, by S. Delmel, 2,G00; Jacqiiin, by A. Zimmer, 450; Rose Blush, bv B. P. Leslie, 100; Punch, by M. Harrison, 175: Leroy, by M. F. McDonald, 150; King Cole, by F. M. Taylor, 700; Golden West, by S. Deimel. 1,300. Two yearling colts and two yearling fillies belonging to E. R. Thomas, were sold for a total of only 150.
