LYMAN DAVIS FOR ARCADIA. ,os Angeles, Cal., SeptemlnT 28. Since it has been definitely announced that Martin Xathansou is to go to Oakland, Rose, Sehreiber and their associates have decided to offer the position of racing secretary and handicappor to Lyman II. Jiavis "and" have assurances that he will accept the appointment. Davis is secretary at Louisville aipl served in that capacity at the F.mpire City meeting at Yonkers. The ollices of the Los Angeles Jockey Club have been established in the Douglas I.uilding with F. G. Handle in charge. It lias been agreed, practically, that Dr. E. S. Gardner of Kansas City, will bo manager of the track and will come to Los Angeles in a short time to assume the duties of this office. A. W. Hamilton has been chosen as the presiding judge of the meeting.
