CONDENSED HISTORY OF THE PRODUCE STAKES. The Produce Stakes is closed us a single event, but when it comes to its running it is divided into two races, one for the colts and geldings eligible and one for the fillies. It is not an event of long standing, its sixth running taking place tomorrow afternoon. At first it was of the guaranteed value of 5,-000. but this sum has since been doubled and it is now one of the most valuable events of the American turf for two-year-olds.
