PATSY KEEPS ON WINKING P S P RANDOLPHS CONSISTENT RACEtt TAKES FEATURE AT JACKSONVILLE Now Has Unbeaten Record of Four Firsts to His HisCredit Credit at Florida Track Tallahassee TallahasseeWins Wins Juvenile Scramble Jacksonville Fla January 1 The splendid card offered by the Moncreif Iark management attracted a recordbreaking attendance to the Jacksonville course this afternoon Class was well represented in all of the races Interest in the afternoons sport was divided between the running of the lirst two yearold race of the season and the New Year Handi ¬ cap which brought out a field of the best horses on the ground The handicap had a guaranteed value of 2000 and it was won by 1 S 1 Kandolphs consistent 1atsy which beat Polls by a length Iatsy yas ridden by Butwell who was given special permission to ride this one horse although under suspension On his way to the post and again after the running of the race an ovation was accorded horse and rider both of which are strong favorites with Jacksonville racegoers Both Iatsy and But well are stars of the meeting The horse has started four times at the meeting and his string of victories includes the Palm Beach Handicap the St Augustine Handicap the New Year Handicap aiid an handicapThe overnight handicap The twoyearold race was a rough scramble in which Tallahassee emerged from the bunch to win easily by four lengths after leading from start to finish The youngsters were a decidedly green lot and the race was little more than a bumping match in which all but one or two were knocked off their strides The winner was lucky in escaping interfer ¬ ence Howard lost one of his stirrup irons in the struggle and this was probably responsible for the swerving of the filly at the end Green B Morris uncovered a good looker in Edmund Adams which ran a smart race This colt was forced to overcome interference and he finished like a good one Thu favorite Dell got mixed up in a jam directly the harrier prominentWilliam was sprung and was never prominent William Beverly and Frank Kittlcuian were among the nowjiomeis v Twentysix layers were in line among the new ones being Kod McMahon Sam Bradley and W Snow
