HORSES COMING FROM THE WEST. Anaconda. Mont.. September 17. — Manager Dwyer of the Utah Jockey Club has beep notified that tif teen or sixteen cars will be here to transport horses to Ogdeti tomorrow. Kdward Cort igan left for Chicago last night. Owing to trouble in getting an express car his horses will not leave for Louisville before Sunday or Monday. With them will go the speedy Calveston three-year-old. Lewiston. The program ltooks for the state fair races at Helena, immediately following Croat Falls, have been received here. Four races on four days and live 011 each of the other two days are scheduled, with daily purses ranging from 91,256 to ,750. Marl in NathanaOO will pre aide and Jim Haley of Richard Dwyer*a start will do the starting. Todays handicap was declared off as a n sult of the muddy condition of the track following a heavy downpour of rain. This was the closing day of the meeting and the crowd broke all records.
