CURRENT NOTES OF THE TURF. The stable of Emil Ilerz has reached Belmont Park from Saratoga. Trainer AAalter 15. Jennings will ship the A. K. Macomber string, with the exception of Star Master, to Belmont Pari: as soon as cars are available. Star Master will remain at Saratoga to run iu the Hopeful Stakes, in which he will carry 110 pounds. Jospoh D. Healy, a brother of Simon, who has been stable foreman for him for several years, will conduct a public training stable iu the future. He is already negotiating for some horses and will doubtless have a string to campaign through the Maryland season. The John Kanford stable lias obtained accommodations at Aqueduct and will be quartered at that course during the fall meeting at Belmont Park. Following the close of the meeting they will proceed to the Maryland tra-ks, where they will be campaigned throughout the fall. The stakes offered by the Harford Association at the Havre do Grace track in Maryland have filled exceedingly well. For the Chesterbrook Handicap and the Havre do Grace Handicap, at a mil:; and a sixteenth and a mile, and an eighth, respectively, there have been forty-one nominations received. The Eastern Shore Handicap of three-quarters for two-year-olds, attracted seventy-one entries. Each one of these fixtures is of the added money variety. The program book for the Dorval fall meeting was distributed at Mount Royal a day or two ago by racing secretary Sheridan Clarke. Five and six hundred dollar purses will be given. The conditions for -the third race on the closing day are left blank for suggestions from owners and trainers. Racing will open September 13, and the opening day will be featured by the running of the Inaugural Handicap for all ages, one mile and seventy yards, for a purse of 1916.sh00.
