Omar Khayyam, in the meanwhile, closed up , strongly after a rough race for the first half and finis, ie«l a good third, although tiring as if not • iiiite ready for such a strenuous race so soon after his effort of Monday. The race wis run in fast time, the half being travelled in 47%. and the mile in 1:39%. The stake was worth .1.V to the winner. The .-olors of It. T. Wilson, president of the Saratoga Being Association, were seen in front t H.lav tor the first time this year, when iris English -bred colt Littlecote scored in the opening : race.
