AVon driving; second and third the same. POWDER FACE, a close-up contender from the start, saved ground on the stretch turn and, rafing into a small lead, made a game finish. RUMPETY RUMPS was forced to come wide when entering the stretch, but passed FORESTALL anil was wearing the winner down. FORESTALL set a fast r.irly pace, but tired in the stretch drive. Won easily; second and third driving. FLAME took the lead at once, set a good pace and. withstanding a challenge from MALLOWMOT. drew away again at the end. MALLOAAMOT raced in close pursuit, but made a wide turn into the stretch and could not again get up to the leader. STATIM began slowly and was far hack early, hut saved ground when entering the stretch and finished fast. CROAVN OF GOLD tired when called on. MARBLE moved up with a rush on the outside of the leader and finished fast aiid gaining. TOM CASSIDY came through on the inside on the stretch turn and finished with a rush. SADDLE AND ROOTS came extremely wide on the stretch turn, but finished close up. DEAONITE reared up in the air when the barrier was released and had no chance. Overweights James R. SEA AVAY raced prominently, but was easily held safe by the first two. BUCKBOAKD closed a gap and finished wtih a rush. AlSTRAL ran a good race. GIRP.Y pulled up lame. CORYDOX refused to start. REGISTRAR, off slowly, came extremely wide on the stretch turn, but was going fastest of all at the finish. SMART GUY set the earlv pace and quit. TANTALUS closed a big gap and finished fastest of all. MURRAY and SOME RAP.Y alternated in paceinaking and raced each other into exhaustion. COMME CI ran far below his true form.
