CORNFLOWER IN TRIUMPH I Carries Off Principal Offering of ofTuesdays Tuesdays Program at atBeulah Beulah Park COLUMBUS Ohio May 11 Cornflower accounted for the fifth race which served as the principal attraction on the program at Beulah Park this afternoon The winner off in front was hustled along by jockey H Garner and drew away into a good lead in the first half mile which he maintained to the end Pelion raced in closest pursuit all the way and was best of the others The Abbot coming to the outside of the others entering the stretch easily disposed of Follow Me and Queen Anna Marie in the stretch drive Queen Anna Marie suf ¬ fered interference on the first turn and again on the far turn when Wallis tried to take her up on the inside which ruined her chance chanceIn In the opening race for maiden twoyear olds B Bermans The Wire graduated into the winners class by scoring a handy victory over his opponents The winner hard ridden throughout by jockey J Majestic disposed of Smile Awhile the early leader on the turn for home and continuing on held the others safe in the stretch Queen of Sheba got up for second place with Wood Fairy a close third the latter disposing of the tiring Smile Awhile in the final strides stridesWilton Wilton Flanna showed the most speed throughout and took the measure of her op ¬ ponents handily Cloporte raced in close pur ¬ suit of the leader and forced her to do her best in the final drive Maddenstown saved ground next to the inner rail on the turn for home and outstayed Wine Jug for third thirdIn In the following race Louise Wagner dis ¬ playing the most speed at all stages togk the measure of her opponents and was never seriously threatened Brown Trout raced closest to the leader and was easily second best while Peter Brush could never improve over third place placeJack Jack Pot proved a big surprise and made a show of the others drawing away decisively in the last half mile of the trip in the fourth race County Times beat the others for sec ¬ ond place while Black Sand took the show money moneyA A disqualification came with the running of the seventh race Rebeck got home many lengths in advance of her field but in round ¬ ing the far turn jockey L Aron on the Mis ¬ souri Stables filly came over too closely on Gentry The latter fell and Miss Eugene fell over him Jockey V Wallis who piloted Gentry escaped injury and his claim of foul was promptly allowed allowedJockey Jockey H Johnson who had the mount on Miss Eugene was not so fortunate He suf ¬ fered a broken arm and his face and back were skinned considerably considerablyFollowing Following the running of the race the stewards announced that the license ef jockey L Aron had been revoked
