■ » Mcpherson buys contract NEW ORLEANS, La., March 31.— J. D. McLenahan today sold to J. McPherson the contract he held on apprentice J. Dale. The transaction was private and Dale reported to McPherson immediately. Dale, who rode his first winner last September, has been one of the prominent apprentices during the current Jefferson Park meeting. At present he is inactive, due to injuries received when kicked while at the barrier with Bob Rogers in the Louisiana Derby last Saturday. These injuries are not serious and he expects to resume riding shortly. *_
