WAR PLANE, fractious at the post and away slowly, was racing well in. the final three-sixteenths. KINGS MINSTREL, on the outside of the leaders most of the way, did not make up ground. CORDON BLEU, away well, lost ground going around the leaders passing the half-mile post, continued to bear out in the stretch, and outfinished HIGH HATTER. The latter made up ground, bore out in the stretch and was getting to the winner. ENRO raced on the inside and made up a little ground in the final eighth under severe punishment. DOUBLE DARE worked her way up gradually, but tired in the final eighth. AUSTERLITZ II. and CUT PRICE quit. GOLDEN X. and CAPTAIN DANGER were always trailers. Overweight Captain Danger, 2j pounds.
