Arlington Handicap First Major Objective of Alsab HOMEWOOD, 111., June 24.— Discussing Alsabs prospects of returning to competition in Chicago this summer, August Swenke, trainer of the Mrs. Albert Sabath stable, said that it is his hope to have the colt ready for the 0,000 Arlington Handicap on July 31. While the colt has been doing little more strenuous work than galloping in the mornings, Swenke said Alsab is progressing steadily and he hopes to give him at least one short race, and perhaps two, before he meets some of the best handicap horses in the country in the Arlington Park Jockey Clubs closing-day fixture. Alsab looks good and he has been breezed several times since he arrived in Chicago, but his advancement was somewhat retarded by the long siege of bad weather early in the Chicago racing season.
