STRAIGHT LEAD showed speed and had no mishaps. DARK MISCHIEF had no mishaps. EASY CHAIR finished with a rush. PONY EXPRESS raced evenly. EARLIANA unseated rider going to the post and ran away one mile. GLYNDON TOWN was fractious at the post. GINO REX was kept forwardiy from the start and, under mild restraint, was placed under pressure in the stretch run and bore in slightly, but, under urging, drew away and held TOTAL ECLIPSE safe. The latter, on the inside in the early stages and in close quarters, responded when clear and finished well. LIBERTY SAND was under pressure and tiring when bumped by the winner at the final eighth. HARD TELLING had early speed and then quit. FAMILY DOC finished with a rush. A claim of foul was lodged against the winner, which was not allowed. NAVARIN jumped well, was kept close to the pace, moved up entering the final quarter and disposed of MATESON. The latter showed speed and, jumping well, was impeded slightly when the winner swerved in the final sixteenth. FLYING FRDAR finished well, but could not menace the leaders. BALK had no mishaps. FOREST RANGER was never dangerous. WALLOPER was left, but went over the first hurdle lar back and was then pulled up. A claim of foul was lodged against the winner, which was not allowed. ARIEL FLIGHT was kept forwardiy from the start and held on well to finish in a dead heat with HIGH NORTH. The latter, on the inside from the start, raced TENNESSEE MAID into defeat and then tired. GO-GINO was well up throughout, made a game bid entering the stretch, but then hung in the stretch run. DAWN ATTACK moved up menaringlv on the outside on the stretch turn, but faltered when the final issue came. SKIN DEEP, a forward contender and saving ground all the wav. tired the last quarter. The latter was eased back in the early stages, came to the outside of the leaders turning for home, made a determined Lid in the stretch run and then hung at the finish. MODEST LAD showed speed, but bore out sharply entering the stretch and then tired TOWSER was well up from the start, saved ground entering the stretch and had no mishap«.
