Michigan Notes DETROIT, Mich., June 24. Jockey Johnny Adams added to his lead in the race for national riding honors when he successfully piloted three of his mounts at the Fair Grounds on Wednesday. Lt. Marvin Edward Childs, Army Air Corps., and Mrs. Childs departed for Lieutenant Childs new post after visiting Mr. and Mrs. Frank E. Childs here. "Stalls have been reserved at the Fort Miami track for the horses trained by J. W. Johnston. My Tet Rambler heads the contingent. Jockey Mark Fator completed his five-day suspension and resumed riding on Friday. Cary C. Boshamer, who has a useful stable of horses in training at the Fair Grounds under the supervision of E. H. Gaines, departed for his home in Clover, S. C, after a brief business trip here. Clyde Pardue checked in from Churchill Downs and registered Away, Royal Canadian, Wonder Witch and Homeward for I campaigning at the Fair Grounds. Charles Kenney, manager of Coldstream ! Stud, is an arrival from the Lexington, Ky., I nursery and plans to remain here for two days on business. Kenney will return to the Blue Grass the latter part of the week. Charles ONeil, Jr., whose horses are trained here by C. J. Edwards, came from his Miami, Fla., home to inspect the stock. Bert Geiger, also of Miami, accompanied ONeil here on the business trip. Albert Johnson today resigned as trainer for the MacGregor and Baker horses but will continue to train the charges of M. T. McCall, J. L. Williams has taken over Johnsons vacated post. Jockey Pete McLean accepted his first mount of the current Detroit season astride Mrs. J. F. Hines Gold Teddy in the Fort Custer Purse on Thursday.
