Jamaica Sets Charity Date JAMAICA. L. I.. N. Y., April 25— Doctor Edward P. Kilroe has announced the selection of Saturday, May 6, which is the closing day of the spring meeting of the Metropolitan Jockey Club at Jamaica, as the first of the two charity days which are to be given by each of the New York race tracks during the current season. On that day the entire net proceeds will be turned over to the American Red Cross, and the National War Fund, with three local hospitals included for a small percentage. These hospitals are the Mary Immaculate, the Jamaica Hospital and the Flushing Hospital and Dispensary. The program will be featured by the 5,000 Grey Lag Handicap.
