Officials for Arlington Meet Approved by Board Hamilton, Whitehead, Dahlstrom, James, Foster Named Stewards Officials who will serve at the 36-day Arlington Park meeting beginning at the North Side track on June 17 were approved at the Illinois Racing Boards regular meeting held here yesterday. Returning as a steward following service in the Armed Forces is Barry Whitehead, who was on the staff of the Arlington Park Jockey Club before entering service. Whitehead will serve along with William A. Hamilton, who will represent the Illinois Racing Board; George Foster, S. L. James, and William R. Dahlstrom. Placing judges approved were William A. Reagan, Charles J. Gormley, Jr., Robert P. McAuliffe and Clifford Huffnagel. Tom Steele returns as paddock judge, Fred Burton as racing secretary-handi-capper and Roy Dickerson as starter. William Cunningham will be the timer and William J. Shelley, clerk of the scales. Vasco Parke will be assistant clerk of the scales and D. P. Stevens was confirmed as head of the totalisator department.
