FOUR INGALLS FINALS FAVORITES FAVORITESIngalls Favorites Ingalls Finals Park was framed in air of somber hue and its course was deep in sticky mud Friday Still the racing was spectacular and the move ¬ ment meant around it buoyant and elastic Four favorites won and the public naturally had a good day dayDr day Dr Sheppards Sheppard win of the fourth race was the prettiest bit of the afternoon He was a slight favorite over The Plutocrat and won in a round and jelly sort of a way by nearly half his length from Newsgatherer Newscaster who ran above his notch and beat The Plutocrat PlutocratIrish Plutocrat Irish Lady who has a broad bastioned reputation as a mnd mend lark was in a soft spot in the eight and a half furlongs race She got off in front set an uptodate outdate girls pace and won in aristocratic style from Sunny SunnyDorian Snyder Dorian made another of his villainous ap ¬ pearances earaches in the opening race He was backed into the niche of equal favoritism with Doctor G Dorian got away in the first run out He threw Barrett Barrette on the first turn The boy escaped injury and Dorian ran four miles before he was stopped Dorian will be barred from local racing in future After Dorian had been excused and bets declared off Doctor G was a 4 to 5 chance He finished a distant second to Pitfall Bloss Loss rode none too good looking a race on the Doctor and was suspended suspendedIdeal suspended Ideal Bean won the twoyearold toehold race and Gracie C the last event Both were well ridden by Caywood Cawed
