NOTES OF THE TURF. C. B. Hawkins. Midway, Ky., has sold to J. D. Smith, the two-year-old colt Birch Tree, by Rossington— Betsy Broeck. Birch Tree is the full brother of Traverser and Elizabeth Klein, and has shown considerable speed in his trials. The stewards of the Brighton Beach Racing Association have given out the following: "In the case of jockey OConnor, suspended indefinitely for foul riding in the second race of July 12. the stewards after due consideration restore the said jockey to the full privileges of his license, to take effect July 20. with the warning that a repetition of the offense will be followed by a recommendation to the Jockey-Club that his license be revoked,"
