Silly Fox closed fast in the final quarter and was coming strongly at the end. Colegate had a rough journey. Jugglery fell soon after the start and her rider had his skull crushed and will die. On account of finishing second to Alvas Pet yesterday Sauce Boat was not entitled to 7 pounds allowance, which was claimed when she was entered, and on a protest being lodged by the owner of Vint the purse was taken away from Sauce Boat and given to Vint.
