Tuskarosa was closing very strongly and would have won with an even break. CI. netanunda showed speed as also did Gypsic The latter ran green. He easily went to the front in the stretch and was drawing away at the end. Waring, as usual, quit when strongly challenged. Montanic again ran well. James did not show his usual speed but finished strongly.
