Walden and Morris good two-year-old filly, tueen Elizabeth, which was a starter in the Quickstep Stakes, had her eye knocked out by a blow from jockey Blakes whip. The Judges during the afternoon sent for Mr. Walden and Blake with a view of ascertaining the facts in the case. It goes without saying that should it be proved that the jockey knocked .the fillys eye out, he will be punished severely. B. J. Bolichs Eival Dare, while being taken across the main track to the inner one, got the better of little Seeley, her exercise boy, and before he could stop the mare she crashed into some chains stretched across the track, which were up as a warning to owners not to work any horses on the main track. Rival Dare did not sustain much injury, but the boy was picked up and taken to the JSnglewood Union Hospital. Dr. Beese, after a careful examination of the boys injuries thought they may prove fatal.
