Briers, under a good ride, was much the best and won unextended. Gold Bride saved ground by hugging the rail closely and came strongly through the stretch. Enhance, in the going, fan well for a half, but weakened under a poor rido at the end. Florence H. began slowly, but came fast in the last eighth. Won easily ; second the same. Fairy Dell lucky to avoid the jam on the turn at the start, showed the most early speed and tiptoed "the field! Competitor was well handled, ran t.o his previous form and had no mishaps. Baffled was under pressure all the way. Boidle, favored by the going, ran well. Handcuff closed up stoutly from a poor beginning. He was off in a tanirle and all but left. Peat was caught in the jam at the start and ran below his true form. Lord Frazer was nearly.knocked down at the start and lost his rider. He ran in front of the field riderless and finished three leDgths before Fairy Doll. Worthington lucky at the start and favored by the going, ran to his best form, went to the front when Cogswell was ready, but tired slightly in the run home. Gayhilda, off poorly, made up ground gradually cutthe corner on the last turn closely, thereby saving much ground and finished strongly. Artificial was hard ridden all the way and seemingly lacked speed. Jigger performed poorly and can do batter. Katherine R. showed a flash of speed, but weakened when called on strongly. Presgrave began slowly, but came fast when he secured good footing in the last quarter and finished strongly. .The Way cnt the stretch turn closely and finished well on his own courage. Miss Chapman, favored by her light impost, showed a good turn of early sped, but weakened palpably when called on strongly. Nat Goodwin was tiptoed and sharply pinched off on the turn when about to make his run and seemingly did not try to run after that.
