LOCAL TURF GOSSIP. John W. Mackey Wfas a visitor at Hawthorne yesterday. Mr. Mackey says all reports to the effect that ho had engaged Jockey Redfern are untrue and he has no intention of signing him. Jockey Prior, indefinitely suspended recently, has been reinstated by the Harlem officials and will accept mounts at Hawthorne today. H. T. Griffin arrived at Hawthorne yesterday from New York and will spend a few days hero. Jockeys Winkfield ana Buchanan were flnod 0 each by starter Holtman for turning their mounts while at the post in the stake race. The entry of Golden Rule, which acted badly in the first race, will be refused until properly schooled at the barrier. Our Coras entry will be refused in future by the officials of the Chicago Jockey Club for bad acting while at the post.
