Black Pat lost much ground by going wide, but came fast and drew away in the stretch run. Scalplock, away poorly, showed fine speed in getting Into early contention, but tired in the last furlong. Klngswnlden had no mishaps. Lavenia True was going fast at the end. Desha showed much speed and seemed a certain winner until in the last sixteenth, where he faltered and legan staggering and fell dead after finishing. W. G. Williams showed suddenly improved form and much speed, set the pace steadily by a wide margin for the first half, but tired thereafter and barely lasted long enough. Invasion ran In closest attendance all the way and had no mishaps. Nona W. gained steadily all the way. Sonnet ran a fairly good race. Golden Russet tired near the end. San Prlmo ran to his best form and was best, assumed the lead at once and won all the way with much in reserve. Rather Royal was not good enough, but ran a good race and always held second place safe. Bendigo went well and always held Harmakis safe. Anna Kareniua, lucky for the entire trip, wore down Wilcox in the first quarter, but had to do his best to stall off Montgomery and barely lasted long enough. Montgomery, a grand looker, ran impressively, closed a big gap steadily and would have won iu another stride. Wilcox showed the most early speed, but tired badly near the end. Miss Kingcette went well and is showing steady improvement. Belle Scott ran a bad race under poor handling. Tres Joll ran green. Scratched 4J0G55 Bitter Queen, ilO; 59S27 Mike Sutton, 113. Tyrolian tired near the end. Bob May was poorly ridden.
