Knmsaek practically forced the pace throughout, coming on decisively at the end and was best. Yankee Jim was the only serious contender and was lapped on the winner to the last fifty yards before he succumbed. Kogo, away badly, closed a big gap on tile outside and was an easing up third. Ocean Shore ran for-wardly throughout and is improving. Reba was going fast at the end in the inside deep going. " Grace St. Clair finished close up and is promising. Cerro Santa, badly messed nlout and carried wide, ran well and was unlucky to lose, also was slightly short. Mimo, on the inside, worked through close quarters and was shut off at a critical point midway of the stretch and unable to get np afterwards. Instructor, away poorly and going wide, was coming like a whirlwind at the end. E. M. Rrattain tired badly in the last sixteenth and may have !een short. Only Jimniie was well up at the end. Sir Edward forced a tremendous pace from the start and drew Into a clear lead when straightened for home, but a weak finish contributed to bis nnlucky defeat. Nealon, away slowly and in close quarters on the Inside, was shuttled to far In the rear, but closed a tremendous gap in the stretch and ran a grand race. Pal made a fast and game effort, but was not quite good enough. Lisaro was a forward and game contender throughout. Cicely was going well at the end after getting away poorly. IJonar maintained a good position to the far turn, where he was shut off and knocked back by the winner, then came along at the end, where be was again Interfered with and securely pocketed. Follow Me, nearly left, never got up Into serious contention. Melodious was very sore and unfit. No Remark showed speed, but failed to stay. Scratched C0G38 Jackfull, 102. Forerunner, from a tlying start, quickly established a small lead, forcing a terrific pace to the stretch, where he was challenged by Princess Titaula, only getting home in the final stride in a thrilling finish. Princess Titania from the start was reserved on the outside in the good going in close attendance on the winner and challenged vigorously in the last quarter, but was forced to succumb in a terrific finish. Soufriere, on. the inside, was always close up and finished an easy third. Havlland, after trailing far in the rear, finished well. Dorado was outclassed here. St. fleorge Jr. is strictly a mudlark. Martinmas seemingly was not able to raise a respectable gallop. Scratched 00577 Phalanx, 111. Overweights Forerunner, 1 pound.
