MORE RAIN AT HOT SPRINGS. Hot Springs. Ark., March 2. A heavy rain during the night made the track slow and caused many withdrawals from some of tlie races at Oaklawn today. Favorites were successful In the first three races, but thereafter they were bowled over, much to the gratification of the dozen layers doing business. Jockey Radtke had only two mounts during the afternoon. He rode Mediant and Barbaros, both owned by his contract employer, J. O. Kecne. They were easy winners. On Barbaros Radtke sustained a slight injury in the early part of the race. Th.; gelding lunged into the fence while rounding tlie first turn and painfully bruised the riders leg. By tlie mishap Barbaros lost much ground and was last at tlie end of tlie first quarter. Radtke, however, gradually made up lost ground and. overhauling the leaders in the stretch, won going away. Tbe: jockey limped pereeptjbly after dismounting. Los Angelenos sudden Improvement in tlie fourth race, won by George Vivian, may cause an investigation of his previous performance. Jockey Mclntyre was among todays arrivals. He will accept mounts tomorrow. "Mickey" Shannon is making ills engagements. J. H. Gravson arrived today with fifteen horses and J. H. Quintan came in with a pair from California.
