Dan Bradley had to go around on the outside to get to the front, but showed a great flight of early speed, which placed him in the lead before they had gone a sixteenth and was well in hand in the stretch run. Larry IK saved ground all the way and ran to his best form. Tom Morgan finished gamely under punishment and outstayed Mamie K. The latter went well throughout. Bellindian was on the outside of the leaders all the way, outstayed Free Booter in the stretch run and shook him off at the eighth post. Free Booter was well ridden and did his best. The latter was cut off on the turn out of the backstretch, but came again and finished fast after saving ground on the turn into the homestretch. Begonia went well and had a rough trip, was Interfered with and cut off on the first turn and again on the far turn and was carried very wide by the winner on the turn Into the stretch.
