ONE WINNING FAVORITE AT OAKLAND. San Francisco, Cal., March 12. Only one favorite, the suddenly resurrected Clyileo, was successful at Oakland this afternoon. L. Marshall bid him from 00 to ,000. but he was protected. Fresli arrivals from Ascot help materially to promote the general form chaos, that now prevails. Despite the presence of over two thousand horses In active training the aggregate of starters today was perhaps the smallest of the meeting. Nearly half of the original entries were withdrawn. Woodford Clay, of Kentucky, was a visitor at the track today. Jake Holtman resumes starting here next .Monday. Richard Dwyer goes to New Orleans to relieve Mars Cassidy at City Park. Cas-sldy will go to Bennings.
