GOOD THINGS GAL0REAT OAKLAWN. Hot Sorlrgs. Ark.. March 12. An ordinary card and cold weather kent the attendance down to small numbers at Oaklawn today. The sport, how-o.pr was excellent. The finishes in some of the raoKs were decidedly spirited. In the fifth race Hildebrand and Sewell hooked up with Master Prim and Lazell respectively and camp to the wire noses apart. Hildebrand finishing in the van. Good things were numerous during the afternoon and the smart clement gave the eleven bookmakers a severe drubbing by the victories of Little Gregg, Bcndlgo, Master Prim and Charley Thompson. Charley Thompson was bid up from 00 to ,000 and bought by owner Forsythe. Ed. Trotter purchased the horse four years ago at Worth, for 1906.sh25, and has won nineteen races with him. C. R. Ellison joined the colony of plungers here todar. He will remain until Thursday night, when he ieparts with jockey Sewell for New Orleans to witness the running of the Crescent City Derby, in which he has Lady Navarre and James Reddick engaged. Sewell will have the mount on Lady Navarre. After the race it is Ellisons intention to ship all his horses from New Orleans to Memphis where they will be tested until the beginning of the meeting at Montgomery Park. Ellison will return here next week.
