THREE GOOD OUTSIDE MARES TO STAR RUBY. Harry Payne Whitney Has a Priro Yearling Brown Youngsters Aro Being Broken at Lexington. Lexiiiglou, Ky., June 30. Bonnie Blue II., the dam of Blues, Blue Girl, Blue Ribbon, Royal Blue , and Bonnie Star, the yearling for which Harry Payne Whitney paid 0,000 ht the sale of the Raceland Stud youngsters last Tuesday, is one of three outside mares bred to J. B. Haggins Star Ruby this spring. Peg Wellington, the dam of David Garrick, Pegasus and Bracegirdle, and Lida H., the dam of Claude, are the other two. Bonnie Blue II. now has at her side a full sister to Bonnie Star, by Star Shoot. Elude, the four-year-old Ally, by Llssak Elusive, which recently won inthc colors of W. Grater and Co., at Latonla, Is partly owned by Clem Beachy and J. B. Hagyard, the trotting horsemen. They lxiught her in one .of the late W. C. Whitneys sales for n broodmare. She was sick as a two and thrco-year-old and this Is the first season she was ever trained. Beachy gave her all her early preparations this year driving her to a sulky. She is a half sister to Juggler, winner of the Autumn Stakes last year. An eastern turfman has written to a local breeder that the greatest yearling at Harry Payne Whitneys Brookdalc Farm, in New Jersey, is the colt by Hamburg, out of the famous Blue Girl, and this horseman says lie believes he would bring every penny of 0,000 were lie sent to the sale ring. Charles Dodson has taken up Captain W. Harry Browns .eighteen yearlings and has liegun breaking them at Senorita Farm. Nine are colts, and nine arc fillies, and the first of the get of the. Brighton Derby winner, Hyphen, are among the collection. Reckon, the dam of the 5,000 Accountant, is among the noted broodmares bred to Broomstick tbfs teeason. She was barren last spring, but there is a yearling chestnut filly by St. Simonian out of her at Senorita Farm. Indigo, dam of Go Between, the Suburban Handicap winner, is now sixteen years old. Blue Pirate is the best of her other produce.
