Toppy Girl showed her usual high order of speed and stayed well in the final, drive. Laura Hunter quit after going a half. Mogregor ran a fairly. good race. Bensonhurst tired badly In the final drive. Rodolfo, away poorly, ran a good race. Saronola ran away three-quarters , at top speed before the start. Old Honesty, well handled and away in a forward position, ran to ids best form, assumed the lead when called on and won as his rider pleased. Harold D. showed the most early speed and seemed to be going easily when he tired unexpectedly and had to be hard ridden to save second place. La Vcita broke slowly and was much used in racing into a contending position, saved ground on the stretch turn and finished going fast. Holdfast was eliminated as a strong contender by the poor send-off and ran a good race. Bud Hill tired, after running a good half. Selene B. quit badly after going a quarter. War Chief is showing steady improvement, followed close- up and,-after taking the stretch hurdle, outgamed St. Enoch. The latter showed speed iir the early stages but tired when hard pressed. Dutcli Barbara moved into contention In the first quarter from a slow beginning: and tired fast through the stretch. Meadowbreeze ran poorly and had no mishaps. Frank Flesher ran a good race and. better handled, would have been closer up. Poster Girl came fast near the end after saving ground when turning into the stretch. Bonart had a rough trip and, with clear sailing, would have been a dangerous contender. Beautiful Mayo ran a fairly" good race. Judith Louise will improve. Tenuis ran a surprisingly good race for him; Dudley was In the hands of an assistant starter when the start came, also suffered from severe interference on the first turn and seemed to sulk thereafter, but was going- fast at the end. Josiands Jewel also had a rough trip. Lizzie McLean quit badly in the last quarter.
