, ROCKINGHAM FOLKS ARE ENCOURAGED. Salem. N. II., July 3. Kockingham Iark lias recovered its second wind and today entered upon a new lease of life so to speak. The task undertaken by the New England Breeders Club of educating the people of Boston to the intricacies of the Mport is already bringing its reward, for this was. with the exception of the opening day. the banner day of the meeting in point of attendance. The management is much encouraged and hopes for ultimate success. The track was fast today, as evidenced by the good time made in several races, and it is predicted it will turn out the fastest track in the country. In races over the straightaway course In particular fast time is noted. Andrew Millers colors were carried to victory by the two-year-old Momentum in the second race. At tlve furlongs straightaway, the colt was well rated by Mclntyre, who outrode Tadlock on .Sal-visa and landed his mount winner by a neck. Klnleydale, in the stable of X. Dyment. has an attack of pneumonia. The horse was not sick when leaving Buffalo, but on the journey here contracted the disease. Mr. Dyment telegraphed to Buffalo for Dr. McQueen, who readied the track today. Jimmy McLaughlin left today for New York to bring .Solly M. to Rockingham.
