Nervator raced to the front at the start and sprcadeagled his opponents, but began tiring at the head of the stretch and was out to the last ounce to withstand Ravianas belated rush. With better lacing luck and a more judicious ride the latter would have won off. Koenigln Luise stuck close to the leaders throughout, but tired r.nd was driving hard to land thltd money. Sans Cocur ran a fairly good race. Luxembourg showed early speed, but tired badly in the stretch. Caper Sauce was sideways when the barrier was raised and was not persevered with. Attention revelled In the going and opened a winning lead at the start, which her-opponents were unable to cut down, and was eased up In the last sixteenth. Malta ran a game race, but was probably handicapped by the soft track. Dick Shauley ran a good race, but mud is evidently not his forte. Miss Llda finished with a rush and would have been third in a few more strides. Reside ran poorly lu the going. Renewal showed early speed, but quit badly. Sultry, off well, was taken back on the lirst turn and. escaping the Hying mud, ran around his opponents and assumed command at the three-eighths post and after that was never in trouble. St. Tammany, out-run early, raced Into a contending position in a leisurely maimer, appeared like the winner when straightened for home, but swerved under the whip and got hi behind the leader and was driving hard at the end. Request, off badly, closed a big gap and finished fast. Reticent was gaining at the end. Little Mike tired. Too much use was made of Widows Mite In the early running.
