Start bad. AVon easily; second driving. Granada had the best of the start, set the pace steadily throughout and camo away in the final quarter as his rider pleased. Blucher. also favored at the start, ran forward- all the way and Iinished going fast. Hector ran iu improved form and closed a big gap. Lucullus showed speed and lasted wall in the final drive. Potter was lucky and ran a fairly good race. Mendocino was allowed to drop far back in the first quarter and cauie with a belated rush. Lady March, away poorly, rau a good race. Frank Flesher, under good handling, ran as if best and camo away iu the final furlong and won with much in reserve. Poster Girl had a rough trip and closed a big gap from a slow beginning. Elected, away running, showed the most early speed, but tired after going a good half. All Ablaze ran u good race and is showing steady improvement. King Leopold, badly handled aud in close quarters, came fast in the stretch and finished witli a rush. Ilehnuth and Anna Ruskln showed speed, but quit badly in the stretch. Hubbard, reserved for the first mile, stole into a long lead thereafter and seemed an easy wlnuer, but had to be hard ridden to stall off Little Elkin in the final furlong. The latter, well ridden, was kept elose up in the early stages and came with his usual rush at the eud. Handy Bill ran a fairly good race, but was badly outclassed by the first two. Gleeman tired after going a mile. Morendo had no mishaps. Mainspring, badly outrun iu the early stages, closed a gap. Fortunate came with a lwlated rush iu the final quarter and finished going fast. Concert tired after going a good three-quarters. Colonel Jim Douglas was a sharp factor in the early stages, but tired under his heavy impost in the stretch run. John Carroll was handicapped by the going and ran a good race. Chocolate Drop showed a high turn of speed, but tired after going a quarter. True Dora ran a good race and, better handled, would have finished third. Hereafter showed a flash of speed, hut under poor guidance had sc-int chance. Bitter Miss was nearly knocked down soon after the start and rau a good race. Tollgatherer ran out all the wav. Search Me broke fully iu motion and showed a high order of speed for the first half, then tired. Inspector Girl, badlv ridden, ran a bad race and can do much lntter.
