NO WINNING FAVORITES AT FORT ERIE. Buffalo, X. Y., August 7. Not a favorite won at Fort Erie today. After the horses were at the post in the first race there was a heavy downpour of rain, changing the condition of the track. Either wet or dry. Bert Osra was supposed to have the first race at his mercy and he was backed for a good thing from his opening price of 8 to 5. At the live-eighths post lie almost went to his knees or be would have won. The heaviest backed horse to win was Phil Igoe. in the maiden race, for two-year-olds. He opened at 10 to 1 and at post time his backers were still accepting Ci to 1 for their money. He was away best and made every post a winning one. Peter Sterling anil Shlneon will leave tomorrow for Saratoga. In the same car J. M. Johnson will ship Jack Barr. W. K. Levering sold The Scold to E. L. Talley today. John .Carroll and Alma Dufour were shipped back to Latonla today.
