Don Enrique decisively outbroke, outpaced and outstayed the others, winning all the way like a coming good one. Killaloe broke slowlv, but quickly singled out bf the ruck, set sail for the leader an.l put up a close, game and persistent pursuit, but could never get up. Captain Emerlch broke Hatfooted and was shuttled back in the early running, but closed a considerable gap in the last half, getting up for third place in the last stride. Nigger Mike, pocketed early, was rushed into a good position and loomed up well in the stretch, but tired slightly in a closing drive. Stray ran prominently to the stretch, showing superior speed. Sir William Johnson, a coming crackerjack, ran very green and practically only cantered the journey. Society Bud, from a good start, set the pace throughout, earning a narrow victory after a tremendous stretch drive. Yada, always in close pursuit, finished wearing the winner down and ran a cracking race. Neptunus got away poorly and was kept in a pocket for live furlongs and, moving up very leisurely n tlio far turn, saved ground on the stretch turn and. linishing fast, should have won, but was given a bad ride. Lady Ellison, away poorly, trailed far in the rear for half the journey, then closed an immense gip and was going fastest of all at the end. Edith James also suffered at the start, made up a lot f ground and is very good. Royal Window ran prominently for six furlongs and then quit and pulled up lame. Clara Huron maintained a lucky forward position from the start and drew out like a shot at the end. Daisy Frost made the running from the start and only relinquished her lead after a game stretch struggle. Sea Salt ran in a good position throughout and earned third place under a vigorous finish. Windfall was a prominent and game con tender from start 1o finish. Pins and Needles got away slowly and closed up considerable ground in the last half. Beggar Maid showed early speed and ran as if short. Neoskaleeta was never dangerous and ran a bad race. Puritan Girl was held at the post ami practically left and only cantered the journey, Koerner making no effort, to overhaul the leaders. Disobedient, on the outside, bore over on the first turn, shutting the other two off, was afterwards reserved in behind Yazd and stole a long lead on the first turn and finished first, but tiring, and was disqualified. Mc-Kittredge, away poorly and shut off and knocked to his knees on the first turn, was badly messed about in the middle running, but came fast with a late stretch rush and swerving to the inside. Ben Hodder, under a choking pull, was patiently reserved close in behind the pacemakers until straightened for home, where he made good with a brilliant and decisive stretch sprint. Ostrich, in forward contention throughout, drew out in the stretch and only succumbed to the winner after a game btrilggle. California King, away poorly, was rushed up in close attendance on the pacemaker, Jhially taking the lonl the last turn, but tired in the closing drive. Soufrlcre, best in soft going, secured a flying start and made the running for five furlongs before she gave way and finished an easy going fourth. Old Faithful, nearly left, moved up on the backstretcli. but dropped back In the stretch and was sore. Rubric ran a bad race and can do better. Firebrand, from a flying start, led all the way by a small margin and put up an unexpectedly game finish. Athlete, away slowly and sluggishly inclined, was whipped into forward contention, but was shut off and forced to the inside in the stretch, losing ground and the race at a critical moment, was best, but palpably short. Givonni Balerio ran lapped on the winner throughout, started to bolt in the stretch and bumped the favorite, but finished in unexpectedly game fashion. Long Run showed speed and finished well up. Johnstown, Uatfooted and knocked to the rear, ran green and In close quarters, but closed a big gap and may be a coming good one. Fatinltza was shut off at the half and finished well. Singlelife, on the Inside and pocketed, had no chance at the start. Lichtmess, nearly left, closed a big gap. Tipping was knocked back at the half ahd can do better.
