Oratorian broke from an outside position, worked his way up on the outside while rounding the far turn, caught Away on the turn into the stretch and, under a drive all through the last furlong, outstayed the latter. Away began quickly, set the early pace and raced Galetta into defeat in the first half, but tired in the last sixteenth and might have won with a stronger rider than Schaller. Conde, away slowly, had to squeeze his way through on the inside, was in a pocket from the half-mile post to the stretch and ran a winning race. Lady Carol raced forwardly throughout. Daniel C. finished gamely. Fire Fang ran an unaccountably bad race. Scratched 0400" Henry Waring, 105. Overweights Fire Fang, 1 pound; Ancient Witch, 2; Port Worth, 4. Emlnola began slowly and trailed for three-eighths, but saved ground on the turns and squeezed through on the inside when making the turn into the stretch, then came on fast and won going away. Moonvlne, always in keen contention, raced Sainzilla and Josephine E. hito exhaustion and was an easy going second. Sainzilla had no mishaps, ran forwardly throughout, but tired at the end. Javanese and Miss LIda were caught in a jam shortly after the start. The latter stumbled and lost her rider: Josephine B." showed early speed, but tired from setting the pace. La Londe, breaking from the extreme outside, rushed around on the outside on the turn into the backstretch, then sprinted into a winning lead, was rated along in front and held her opponents safe all the way. Tickle was Interfered with on the turn out of the backstretch, but finished resolutely after going to the outside on the turn into the homestretch and outgamed Hamilcar in the final strides. Hamilcar was a keen contender in the early stages and finished fast and gamely. Scotch Plume followed the fast pace set by the winner for the first half, but tired under punishment in the last sixteenth. Foxmead ran a dull race. d. A t Q Q FOURTH RACE 1 Mile. l:3Sj 3 SC. Lazell broke slowly and was outrun in the early stages, but was ridden a patient race and nursed along until well around the far turn, where he moved up, caught the leaders at the eighth post and, in a driving finish, outlasted Celebration. Celebration finished with a belated rush and was going much faster than the winner at the end. Ezra, lucky at the start, slipped through next to the inside rail on the first turn, set a fast pace and raced Lady Jocelyn and Gay Boy into subjection in the first six furlongs, but tired under punishment in the stretch run. Gay Boy ran on the outside all the way and swung to the extreme outside when entering the homestretch. Lady Jocelyn ran well to the stretch. Voting was outrun for the first quarter, worked his way up next to the inside jail on the far turn and shot to the front when the leaders went wide, fought it out with De Oro all through the last furlong, out-gamed the latter and was going away at the end. De Oro, away quickly, carried Renraw along at a fast pace for the first half, but had nothing left when the winner challenged. Hazel Patch closed a tremendous gap and finished with a rush. The Abbot was cut off on the far turn and Fischer was forced to pull him up to keep from going down. Grace Kimball was bumped into at the start and knocked off her stride and Van Dusen pulled her up. Oleasa was oft fully in motion, shook off Left Guard in the run around the far turn and sprinted into a winning lead, but was tiring at the end and driving to the limit to stand off Little Mikes determined challenge. Little Mike began slowly, but worked his way to the leaders while rounding the far turn, finished with a determined challenge and was wearing Oleasa down at the end. Left Guard furnished keen contention all the way, went to the leader with a rush soon after the start and hung on to the end gamely, but tiring. Sonnet finished fast. Request went to the front soon after the start and, after setting the pucf outstayed Redwood II. when it came to the final drive. Redwood II. furnished keen contention all the way anil raced with Request for the entire trip. Exclamation dropped back while rounding the first turn and ran a dull race. The Gadlly was sore when going to the post. Corrected weights Clianida, 105.
