Black Mantilla, showing the most speed and away moving freely, assumed a long lead at once and was never seriously threatened, winning with plenty in reserve. Orline, running forwardly from the start, was a fast going second at the end. Lady Ethel began slowly and closed a good bit of ground near the end and finished going well. Ethel Barry was poorly handled arid repeatedly swerving, but finished fast. Loretta H. had a rough trip. Queen Esther tired after going a good half. Nickle tried to run out on the stretch turn. Friendship, clear of interference, followed the leaders close up for the first half, wore down Montalbafl in the final drive and won going away fast. Montalban, showing the most early speed, assumed a long lead, but tired after going a half. Decklaw showed good form for the first half, then tired and is evidently a fast non-stayer. Princess Marie came fast through the stretch and ran a good race. Bon Vivant swerved badly under poor handling. Steadfast showed improved form and is worth remembering. There was much jamming and crowding all the way and the last six were eased up throughout because of the crowding. Scratched 03330 Tanglewood, 110. Corrected weights Alta McDonald, 110. Lacene., showing suddenly Improved form, ran in close pursuit of Miss Anxious to the stretch turn, where she assumed the lead and held the race safe thereafter. Miladl Love closed a good gap steadily, was going fast at the end and is showing steady improvement. Inspector Girl was away poorly and in close quarters for the first half and finished with a rush when clear. Optional came with a belated rush through the stretch. Miss Anxious tired badly after going a half. Field Lark ran a bad race and has possibly had too much of it lately. Red Thistle forced the pace in the early stages, finished gamely under a hard drive and outlasted The Only Way. The latter began slowly and suffered from interference; but finished fast and was probably best. The Englishman was sore when going to the post and ran a poor race. Labor ran a good race and gained steadily after overcoming, a lot of interference. Layson moved up after going a half and finished with a rush. Jigger bore out on the stretch turn and tired in the final drive. Sand Bath was close up for the first hair, then tired. Magic, poorly handled, ran a good race. Bullfinch followed the early pace c!osly, but tired after going three-quarters and can do better. Light Opera ran a good race, closed a big gap and was going fast at the end.
