In order to get a hash of the results at Saratoga, the agents of the New York poolrooms have erected a seventy-live foot pole outside of the track enclosure. Orau will be a starter in the Futurity, He will haVe a public trial for this great race In the United States Hotel Stakes at Saratoga, on August 23, in which he will carry 127 pounds. C. E. Before shipping her to Shcepshead Bay last spring Julius Bauer bred her to Mesmerist, lie thought she would be a good racing tool for the summer, but she disappointed him. Theodore Winters, the veteran breeder, died at San Francisco, on August 4. Mr. Winters was eighty-three years or age. He was one of the pioneers in California, going there from Kentucky.
