BELMONTS TRAINING STABLE IS BURNED. New York, August 14. Fire destroyed the training stable, a glass-inclosed structure, on August Belmonts farm near Babylon, L. I., yesterday. The blaze is believed to have been caused by spontaneous combustion in the hay loft. The workmen organized themselves into an amateur fire department and the thoroughbred stock was all saved. Lord of the Vale, sustained a slight scratch on his foreleg. The horses were driven into one of the lots and then were taken to the Belmont stables at Belmont Park. The loss is estimated at 5,000.
