Webber, favored by the going and away well in motion, assumed a long lead at once and Increased his advantage with every stride, winning eased to a canter in the last furlong. Jay Swift, also favored bv the going, showed good form and put up a good performance. Mclnlyre came from a long .way back and ran In improved form. Boserrian seemingly disliked the going and ran a dull race. Camille quit badly after going a quarter. Lady Vhnont can do much better. Scratched C4019Chase, 101. Won driving; second and third the same. Elastic, well ridden arid favored by the going, was a forward contender from the start, wore down the leaders on the strcleh turn and outgamed Lady Henrietta in the closing drive. The latter was right there all the way and ran a good race. Muni stayed well and was speedy, but failed to get far enough away from the others in the early stages and tired, as usual, In the final drive. Revolt was gaining steadily from a poor lieglnning and ran a winniug race. Santon ran a dull race and can do much better, was never a serious contender and ran badly throughout. Falkland, almost left and badly, ridden, HUcd the going, closed a big gap and coming fast through the strut ch, outstayed Zinda. The latter ran forwardly from the start, but tired and went wide in the stretcli. Belltoorie quit after going a half. Dresden ran a good race. The Laurel had scant chance with ills poor rider. Minnie Johnson can do much better and failed to show much speed. Roval Legend Is in jioor form and disliked the going. Wee Lass seemingly outclassed the others and, after assuming the lead in the first quarter, won as her rider pleased, was pulling up through the stretch and Is in grand form at present. NOnie Lucille ran In Improved form and was favored by the going. Devout had no mishaps and was not good enough. Plller tired after going a half. Imboden had scant chance with his poor rider, Walsh almost falling off several times when he attempted to drive his mount. IianposAl, showing sudden improvement, was sent into a long lead after going a quarter and held the others safe thereafter, winning well in hand. Intense ran well and suffered from interference, but not enough to affect the result. Lady Charade was nearly thrown soon after the start, had to go urouiiJ the others and, closing a big gap, would have been a close contender with clear sailing. Search Me was subjected to o.ne of Aubuchons bad rides and can do a great deal better. Black Cat was kicked while at the tost and the Injury caused her to run poorly. Pinaud was given a bad ride and is in good form at present. Prlncipia had a rough trip.
