Cincinnati, O., August 15. A lumpy and drying out track at Latonia today caused so many withdrawals that what promised to be an excellent card was badly cut to pieces. Profitable had to be ridden out to win by a neck. Subador, under an easy ride, was a poor third. , W. Perkins, acting for S. Louis, bid up Hereafter 00 over his entered price of a like amount. The colt was retained. Owner Rice lodged complaint against Jockey Mc-Intyre. The boy severely punished Black Cat in the last race Tuesday. The owner claims that Sfc-Intyre was aware that the filly had been badly kicked while at the post, but he beat her brutally. Jockey Harry Larsen, formerly in the employ of R. A. Smith, was among todays arrivals from New York. He will accept mounts here for the remainder of the meeting. Boserrians poor showing yesterday was explained by his trainer who claimed that one of the coifs plates was badly twisted in the race.
