DOUGLAS PARK TRACK IS FAST. Cincinnati, O., August 15. Horsemen who have run up to .Latonia for a few days from Douglas Park speak in terms of the highest praise of the new course. The location Is a natural park with an abundance of shade trees and natural advantages that need but little artificial aid to convert the place Into one of the handsomest race courses in the country. The concrete floors in the grandstand are an innovation that will at any rate make for cleanliness, as It will be possible to flush the stand, something that it Is difilcult to do with wooden flooring. The track itself, while an old trotting track, has never been raced over to any great extent.. It is wide, graded on the turns,- well drained, and according to horsemen who have been training over it will be considerably faster than either Churchill Downs or Latonia.
