GOOD MEETING IS EXPECTED AT WINDSOR. Detroit, Mich., August 21. When the bugle calls the field to the post in the Inaugural race of the Windsor fall meeting next Saturday afternoon, it will mark the beginning of what should be the best late meeting ever given in this section by the Highland Park Club. There is an abundance of good horses at Fort Erie and they will all be here for this meeting, in addition to the many which laid up for a short time and trained at the track to be in shape for the fall campaign. Those who have been at the track have their horses in very good shape and expect to slip In a few quiet surprises on the throng who have been racing all during the summer. During the rest of the week regular horse trains will be run from Fort Erie. Handicaps will frequently appear on the card. Secretary Parmer counts much on these handicaps, and says they will be the best events ever held at a late meeting In this part of the country.
